You cannot.

Just look at the dimensions of a professional camera like the Nikon D4 when compared to a P&S like the Nikon L810

D4, a professional camera: 6.3 x 6.18 x 3.58 inches and 2.95 lb using interchangeable lenses

A typical P&S camera: 4.37 x 2.99 x 3.27 inches and 0.95 lb with a fixed lens

I don’t think you will fool anyone.

ANY dSLR which notably uses interchangeable lenses is what music venues consider to be “professional” whether they are or only entry level dSLR’s

Too bad those pea-brained hulks at the gate won’t know the difference.

Your worse enemy in the concert environment is the terrible lighting. Apply 2 layers of transparent scotch tape over the flash of your camera to diffuse the harsh light. That and a very steady hand (or set it on a solid surface) is your best bet with a compact.

What is your camera? The slim Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 would do best in this situation.

Fully grasp far better?
