I just got a new MacBook, and I opened the Photo Book application and it won’t work. It just says “There is no connected camera.” I’m assuming this is because the iSight camera hasn’t been connected yet, but how would you connect it? I thought they automatically connected when you opened a camera related app?

You don’t. There’s something wrong with it. Either return it for another or get it fixed. It’s under warranty.

You were correct with your original thought – it should just work. Take your computer into the Genius Bar if you’re near an Apple Store. If not, call AppleCare at 1-800-APL-CARE.
